Started in 1997 the Sussex Wine Club celebrated 10 years of existence in 2007. With a regular membership of 150 -180 people the club grows through recommendations and through advertising in our shop. The club was set up to give benefits to wine enthusiasts who shop regularly with St Martin Vintners from around our home county, and enjoy social events revolving around tastings and dinners. Membership is only open to residents within the Sussex post code area and members are entitled to free case delivery throughout the county.

As a member you will receive a 12.5 discount on all case orders placed through the web site, as well as buying your selected mixed or full case in our shop in Brighton. If single bottles are purchased in our shop then you will receive a 7.5% discount.

There are usually 6 or 7 events a year you will be invited to, including wine tastings and dinners, at which we are often able to invite the wine makers, agents or suppliers of the wines to talk about their products. Since our beginning 10 years ago we have held over 70 of these events. These are not sales orientated, even though we do offer a bigger discount for on the evening orders, but more an opportunity for us to meet our members and it gives the wine producers a chance to show their products (there are often wines in the £15 - £30 bracket), which members might not get the chance to try.

Since 2004 we have organised an annual members trip to a wine region where we visit the wineries whose wines we list, as well as some other prominent producers from that area. Places are limited on these excursions and have proved very popular, and so far we have done Champagne (2004), Porto (2006) and Bordeaux (2007) and Tuscany in 2008.

Membership costs £18.00 per person per annum or add your other half for a Partner Membership (must be same address) costs £25.00 for the two of you. As well as the discounts and free delivery you will get a discounted price to attend the tastings or dinners (with the very odd exception). All memberships are renewable on 1st January.
